What’s on the horizon
Trips that are calling my name, projects I can’t stop tinkering with, and random sparks that somehow make their way into my days. This is the stuff that’s keeping me curious, inspired, and a little restless in the best way possible.

Because we can’t get enough of Japan, we’re heading back to soak in its vibrant cities, historic landmarks, and, of course, the cherry blossoms. This time, with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Steve! We’ll wander the bustling streets of Tokyo, explore Kyoto’s temples and gardens, visit coastal towns like Kochi, and take in the historic sights of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and Kagoshima. We’re even making a stop in Busan, South Korea, for a little coastal charm along the way. Can’t wait to see it all.

We’re revisiting the Icelandic landscapes that first captivated us in 2018—this time with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Steve! Along the way, we’ll take in Copenhagen’s canals, Norway’s scenic shores, Scotland’s historic streets, the Faroe Islands, Iceland’s fjords, and the breathtaking total solar eclipse in Grundarfjordur against Kirkjufell, finishing in Reykjavik.

10 years ago, I met our travel besties at a 4th of July party 🇺🇸 Since then, we’ve explored the world together—Croatia, Greece, Iceland, Barcelona, Ibiza, Portugal, Morocco, Mallorca, and Mexico (some more than once!) Next up: Sicily before reuniting with our travel crew in Malta!

We have a one-car garage that we’re ready to transform into a studio—the final piece of the puzzle after transforming every inch of this almost 100-year-old home. We’re just at the very beginning, meeting with contractors and imagining how this little space could become a sleek, functional rental.

Putting this out into the universe! I’m manifesting (and actively saving for) some home wellness upgrades—a sauna, spa, and cold plunge. I can already imagine the slow mornings, cozy evenings, and that perfect balance of heat and cold to reset, recharge, and just feel… really good.

As we head into year three of running Staycation Club for Dogs, our home dog boarding business, I’m ready to build a space made just for the dogs. A place that helps draw a clear line between work and home life, with more storage, a kitchenette for meal prep, and extra room to play. This feels like a big, joyful yes to all the growth we’ve worked so hard for and a setup that actually makes our day-to-day easier. I have a few spots in mind right at home where it could happen; now it’s just a matter of saving up for yet another remodel adventure.
